Marker Location: From La Ward, take US 172 S. about 6 miles, then go E over cattle guard about .3 miles - house is visible from road.

Built in 1860s by Lafayette Ward, Sr., a pioneer rancher who came from Missouri to Texas, 1836. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, 1965.
